Blackburn Confirm Judge Signing - Ipswich Town News

Blackburn Rovers have confirmed the signing of Blues target Alan Judge on a three-year deal. The Lancastrians were reported to have won the race to sign the free agent Irishman earlier in the month.

Town, Derby and Charlton were amongst the other sides to have targeted the 24-year-old, who was offered better terms at Ewood Park, where he started his career as a youth player working under Gary Bowyer, who has now been confirmed as Rovers’ permanent manager.

Blackburn have also signed Portsmouth keeper Simon Eastwood and former Millwall winger Chris Taylor.

Meanwhile, St Mirren boss Danny Lennon has reiterated that he knows nothing about reported Town interest in midfielder Kenny McLean: "I spoke to the Ipswich manager, Mick McCarthy, on the phone recently and he never mentioned Kenny once.”

The 21-year-old, who has a year left on his Buddies contract, was first linked with the Blues in January and then again more recently when ultimately abandoned plans for a pre-season friendly between the clubs first surfaced.
