Town Searching for New Nominated Charity - Ipswich Town News

Town are looking for locally-based charities to apply to become their nominated charity for the 2013/14 season.

The Blues will select one local charity to support over the course of the season, a partnership which will run from 1st August 2013 to 31st May 2014.

The charity will receive support from Town throughout the season, including a share of the club’s FA Community Shield distribution, signed memorabilia to help raise funds and when possible members of the ITFC squad attending the charity’s events.

Town’s previous nominated charities have included Cancer Campaign in Suffolk, Genesis Orwell Mencap, East Anglian Air Ambulance, Age UK Suffolk and Lighthouse Women’s Aid, while the club has also continued to support hospitals and hospices with the traditional annual Christmas visit from players.

Town’s PR manager Jade Cole said: "Working with local charitable organisations has always been important to Ipswich Town.

"The club are committed to offering the best possible support to our chosen charity, helping to raise their profile, as well as much needed funds.”

For further information or to request an application form, contact Jade Cole via email here or by post here: Jade Cole, PR Manager, Ipswich Town Football Club, Portman Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 2DA.

Charities which apply must be based and registered in East Anglia and cannot be locally-based branches of national charities. All completed applications must be received by the club by Friday 5th July 2013.
