Competition for Kilgallon - Ipswich Town News
Birmingham, Blackburn and Wigan have joined Town in showing interest in released Sunderland defender Matthew Kilgallon, according to reports.
The 29-year-old was widely reported to be in talks with the Blues last week following his release by the Black Cats.
Meanwhile, St Mirren have confirmed that another reported Town target, midfielder Paul McGowan, is staying put having signed a new one-year deal.
Elsewhere, ex-Blues keeper Brian Murphy, 30, has put pen to paper on a new QPR contract taking him up to the summer of 2015.
Former Town defender Ian Miller, 29, has joined Blue Square Bet Premier side Cambridge United on a two-year deal after leaving Grimsby Town where he was captain last season.
