Reuser Misses Out - Ipswich Town News
Dutch midfielder Martijn Reuser will miss Monday's trip to Villa Park after a recurrence of his back injury. Reuser scored in the reserves game on Wednesday, but is now feeling his back again.
However, it seems this is not likely to keep him out of the Town side for too much longer with George Burley saying he hopes to have him back in the running in a week's time. A return at Tottenham looks well on the cards.
John McGreal (shin) and Jamie Clapham (knee) are now not as doubtful as they once were, and Clapham looks likely to play on the lefthand-side of midfield with Reuser missing. McGreal and Titus Bramble will battle it out for the central defensive role alongside Mark Venus.
Chris Makin has become the latest person at Portman Road to state that Town can turn the current situation around: "It's down to us, the players, because we are the ones who go out on to the pitch and play. It is a simple game really, and it is about the 11 players who go out and perform. Everyone is 100% behind the manager. The only think wrong at the moment is the results."
