The weekend's tabloids threw up at least one implausible rumour this weekend. The Blues are meant to be interested in Birmingham striker Geoff Horsfield, rated at £2.5 million.

At the AGM recently David Sheepshanks announced that there would be no further spending this season so a move for the ex-Fulham man looks very unlikely.
