Whight Joins Bury Town - Ipswich Town News
Defender Joe Whight has joined Ryman League Premier Division Bury Town following his release by the Blues at the end of last season.
Whight said: "I know a couple of the lads at Bury already in Billy Clark and Seb Dunbar and Billy in particular has told me how good the set-up is.
"The list of players who have progressed on to the pro game from here is very impressive and therefore this is the best home for me."
Academy product Whight, 19, appeared on the bench for the first team on number of occasions but failed to make a senior appearance for his hometown club.
Town’s season kicks off at Reading on 3rd August. Early online betting odds have been released with Reading as favourites at 10/11 with Ipswich at 5/2.
