There is no place in the travelling party for another of the recent trialists, Tottenham’s Bongani Khumalo, while keeper Dean Gerken misses out with a minor groin injury and winger Paul Anderson is also absent due to a minor hamstring injury.
Academy keeper Michael Crowe comes into the first team squad for the first time during pre-season and left-back Aaron Cresswell is back after a thigh problem. Barnet manager Edgar Davids starts for the home side.
