Town Confirm Doherty Deal - Ipswich Town News
Town have confirmed that 18-year-old Waterford winger Jack Doherty has agreed a two-year deal at Portman Road. TWTD was first to reveal that Clonmel-born Doherty was joining the Blues on trial during the training camp in Ireland and then, having impressed boss Mick McCarthy, that he was making the move to Portman Road.
Doherty will formally put pen to paper on Wednesday having been at the club since the weekend.
The Blues are understood to have paid the Airtricity Division One side an initial fee of around £50,000 for Doherty with further payments due after he hits appearance milestones.
