Taricco on Saturday - Ipswich Town News

Mauricio Taricco has said of this weekend's game between Town and Spurs will be a "special" game for him. The former Town full-back is set to line-up at right-back against Town on Saturday at White Hart Lane.

Taricco told his tribute site (www.mauriciotaricco.com): "For me it is a special game, but just for me. Although I'd like
Ipswich to do well, on the day I'll be looking to get the three points and I'm sure the fans would understand this."

Taricco is still a firm favourite with Town supporters, and that feeling is mutual: "They were always nice to me and I really appreciate that. Sometimes when you leave a club they turn against you but they understood my reason for leaving Ipswich and they show me respect - I'll always respect them."

Like others Taricco is at a loss as to why Town have done so badly this season: "I still don't understand what has happened there this season. They have had some bad results, and then another one, and then it becomes difficult to turn things
around. I hope they do it and are able to maintain Premiership status."

Taricco, whose only previous appearance against Town for Spurs was as a sub in last season's first game, is also looking forward to meeting up with good friend Tony Mowbray.
