Strong Early Interest in Academy Association - Ipswich Town News

Academy sponsorship manager Simon Milton says he’s received more than 100 emails since the launch of the Academy Association yesterday. The former midfielder is charged with raising £500,000 annually as the club moves its youth set-up to Category One.

Milton told the club site: "Since the launch of the Academy Association yesterday, I’ve had phone calls and emails, over 100 emails in fact, from people who want to get involved.

"I’ve had businesses contact me, long-term sponsors contact me, and individuals contact me. They want to invest in the academy and that’s great news.”

Meanwhile, former trialist Bongani Khumalo has joined Doncaster Rovers on a season-long loan.

Elsewhere, Reading's ticket office has 300 tickets remaining from the additional allocation released to Town fans earlier today.
