New Year for Marcus - Ipswich Town News
Marcus Stewart saw his specialist yesterday and was told he is not yet ready to join in contact training. Town manager George Burley says that the Town striker's target is the game with Charlton on New Year's Day.
Burley said: "Although Marcus has been keeping up his fitness work he will not be allowed to join in training until then [the new year] as he is not allowed to join in where there may be physical contact."
Marcus Bent came through Monday's game with Aston Villa without any reaction to his back problem.
