Vote Mills as Greatest Ever Captain - Ipswich Town News

Prostate Cancer UK, the official charity partner of the Football League, has asked bloggers, journalists and fans to nominate their team's all-time top skipper as they look for the Football League’s greatest-ever captain.

Prostate cancer results in 10,000 deaths every year in the UK. So this season Prostate Cancer UK is asking fans to put aside their differences and become Men United in the fight against the disease.

To lead Men United, and to kick off the 2013/14 Football League season, they're searching for an inspirational figurehead - the Football League's greatest captain.

TWTD was in little doubt about Town’s all-time top captain when we were asked — Mick Mills. You can read what we said here and find out more about Men United and vote for the man who held aloft the FA and UEFA Cups here.

The first round of voting closes on Tuesday 20th August. The top five captains will then enter a play-off. Each will then receive the backing of one of the country's leading football writers, who'll tell the nation why they should vote for their choice of skipper.
