Listen Now: Currie and Johnson on Life's a Pitch - Ipswich Town News

Darren Currie and Gavin Johnson are this week’s guests on BBC Radio Suffolk’s Life’s a Pitch, which is live over Saturday lunchtime (midday to 2pm). Presenter Mark Murphy is joined by the show’s other regulars, legend-in-residence Kevin Beattie, football’s youngest pundit Tractorboy and TWTD’s Phil Ham, who will be at QPR.

Ex-Blue Currie grew up supporting QPR and watching his uncle Tony in action at Loftus Road. The self-styled slow winger also famously netted a brilliant debut goal for the Blues in a 4-2 win away against the Superhoops in December 2004 (see above). He recently spoke to TWTD in the Ex-Files

Johnson is still playing at the age of 42 and will be in action for Walsham-le-Willows in their FA Cup extra preliminary round tie against Essex Senior League side Tower Hamlets at Summer Road on Saturday (KO 3pm). Walsham are offering £1 off admission for Town season ticket holders.

Can Town pick up their first away win of the season at Loftus Road? Will own goals continue its rich vein of early season goalscoring form?

Add your thoughts on those questions or anything else via email, the programme’s Facebook page, Mark’s Twitter or during the show by phone on 01473 212121 or text to 81333 starting your message with SFK.

The show can be heard on 95.5FM, 95.9FM, 103.9FM and 104.6FM or online here. Last week's programme can be heard here.
