Cresswell's Agents Unaware of Palace Bid - Ipswich Town News

Aaron Cresswell’s representatives have said they aren’t aware of Crystal Palace having had a £3 million offer for the left-back turned down by the Blues. According to widespread reports, the Eagles had made a move for the 23-year-old, apparently prior to adding former Bordeaux left-back Florian Marange to their squad.

A spokesman for his representatives SEM told Sky Sports that they know nothing of a Palace offer but revealed that Aston Villa, who it was known had made enquiries regarding the former Tranmere man, had bids rebuffed a year ago: "Aaron has made substantial and continued progress since signing for Ipswich Town and is possibly the best left-back in the Championship.

"Ipswich turned down substantial offers from Aston Villa last summer and they obviously rate him very highly.

"Aaron is very ambitious and of course wants to play in the Premier League. It would be great for him to achieve that with Ipswich Town as he is happy playing there. If not, then every player has his price and at some point he will move on."

In addition to Palace and Villa, Southampton, Fulham, Blackburn and Wigan have all been mentioned in connection with the Liverpudian this summer.
