Goalkeeper Scott Loach has a message for supporters concerned that Town’s lack of goals in the Championship last season will again prove a problem in the months ahead.
Loach, 25, said: "We’re just three games in. After 13 games last season we only had seven points then later on at one point people were saying ‘Hang on a minute, we could still get in the play-offs’.
"It’s still early days yet — very, very early days. We beat Millwall 3-0 and, okay, there were two own goals but we had to get into the positions to get them. But for some good saves from Bywater and Robert Green at the weekend we’d have even more goals.
"I train with David McGoldrick and Daryl Murphy every day and I know they’ve got it in them.
"People have got to realise that on a Saturday it doesn’t always fall to them how they want and there is also a bit of pressure. But the goals will come and I’ve got no worries about that whatsoever.”
