Carson in Notts County Action - Ipswich Town News
Boss Mick McCarthy has revealed that Northern Irish international midfielder Josh Carson has spent time with Chris Kiwomya’s Notts County this week and is also interesting SPL Hibernian. Carson, 20, had previously been on trial at Bristol City but without winning a move to the League One side.
McCarthy said: "He went to Notts County, he played in an U21 game for them, Hibs are interested in having a look at him, apparently. He is available to go from here.”
The Town boss says he’s not pursuing his interest in 20-year-old Bristol City midfielder Luke Dobie, who has been on trial at Portman Road this week and played in the U21s on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Blues are again being linked with Coventry City right-back Cyrus Christie, 20, who is also mentioned in connection with Blackburn.
