U18s at Palace - Ipswich Town News
Town’s U18s are in action against Crystal Palace at their Copers Cope Road training ground in Beckenham on Saturday morning (KO 11am).
The young Blues are looking for their first point of the season having lost 3-2 at home to Swansea and then 4-3 at Brighton.
Academy first-year scholar Johnny Smith has been away with the Northern Ireland U17s at the Syrenka Cup in Poland this week.
The Northern Irish youngsters lost 3-1 to Ukraine and beat Slovakia by the same scoreline and are up against Cyprus today.
Fellow striker Cemal Ramadan (pictured), also a first year, has been named in the Republic of Ireland U17 squad for two friendlies against Slovakia in Bratislava next month.
The first game is on Tuesday, 10th September with the second two days later.
Meanwhile, the U21 game at Brentford which was scheduled for next Tuesday has switched to Tuesday 26th November (KO 2pm).
