Hewitt Unused Sub in Shock Wales U21s Defeat - Ipswich Town News
Blues right-back Elliott Hewitt was an unused sub as the Wales U21s fell to a shock 1-0 defeat to San Marino away in Serravalle in a Euro 2015 qualifier this evening.
The result was the San Marino U21s’ first ‘proper’ victory in a competitive fixture in their history. Their two previous wins were forfeits by the opposition due to breaches of the rules after the Sammarinese youngsters had been defeated in the 90 minutes.
The Welsh U21s, who are coached by ex-Blue Geraint Williams, are next in action on Tuesday when they face Moldova in Tiraspol in another qualifier.
