Barnet winger Keanu Marsh-Brown has confirmed that there were clubs interested in him prior to the transfer window closing last week but says he's currently happy with the Bees.
Town were claimed to have made an enquiry regarding the 21-year-old on deadline day, although we understand that the Blues’ interest has not yet gone that far.
Town U21s coach Mark Kennedy has been spotted at the Hive this season, chief scout Steve McCall was at the Bees' 3-0 victory at Braintree last month in which Marsh-Brown scored and other members of the Blues staff have also watched the former Fulham trainee in action. However, contrary to reports, Town did not make an approach for the Londoner.
Marsh-Brown told the Harrow Observer that there were sides interested in him during the transfer window but after an unsettled couple of years says he was happy to stay with Barnet: "There were a few teams interested in signing me from League One and League Two, as well as one from the Championship.
"I loved playing here [last season], especially with the boys and the staff. It is a shame we went down, but we want to get the club back into League Two.”
The wideman says manager Edgar Davids is a big part of why he’s enjoying life with the Bees: "It was a major part why I stayed. Training is great, it is the way I like to play.
"Everything’s technical, and it is a great achievement playing under Edgar; not everyone can say that they have played under him. He is a great player and manager.
"I just want to get my football back on track. If this means staying here for a couple more years, then that’s what I’ll do. I want to become a better player and push on with the team.”
