Carson Set to Rejoin York - Ipswich Town News
Ex-Blues midfielder Josh Carson is close to rejoining his former loan side York City. The 20-year-old Northern Irish international, who recently spent time on trial at Bristol City, Hibs and Notts County, had his Town contract terminated by mutual consent prior to the transfer window’s closure last Monday.
Nigel Worthington, manager of the League Two club, said: "We have offered a deal to Josh Carson, which he has accepted.
"Subject to a medical and international clearance he will be joining the club later this week."
Carson, who was given his first full Northern Ireland caps by Worthington during his time as national coach, made five appearances for York during a loan spell at the end of last season which was curtailed by a foot injury.
Meanwhile, former Town loanee Patrick Kisnorbo has completed his move to the Melbourne Heart back in his native Australia.
