Charity Event at Needham - Ipswich Town News
Needham Market FC are running a charity event for Jeans for Genes Day when they take on VCD Athletic in a top of the table Ryman Division One North clash at Bloomfields on Saturday 21st September. With the Blues not in action until the following day at Wigan, Town fans are invited to come along and take part.
The Marketmen will be donating £1 from the admission fee for every spectator wearing jeans or denim. Jeans for Genes Day provides funding for the care and support of children with genetic disorders.
There will also be other ways for the spectators and officials to support the cause on the day.
Former Blue Ian Westlake joined Needham in the summer, while Town academy coach Steve Foley is also head coach at Bloomfields and ex-midfielder Lee Norfolk is a player-coach.
Former academy scholars Andrew Plummer, Ollie Fenn and Kieran Leabon are also current members of the Needham squad.
