Dyer Commits to Mags - Ipswich Town News
Kieron Dyer seems set to sign a new deal with championship challenging Newcastle. Town will have kept a keen interest in the Dyer situation with the Blues entitled to a percentage of any profit Newcastle make on the £6.5 million they paid Town for the England midfielder.
Dyer denied national newspaper claims that he would become a Manchester United player, saying that a new deal at Newcastle is not far off: "My agent and the chairman have had preliminary talks about a new contract. What I want to do is get to the same level of performance I was showing last season and then, hopefully, the contract will look after itself. If the deal is right for me, of course I'll be happy to sign. I can't think of any reason why not."
