McGoldrick Nominated for Player of the Month - Ipswich Town News

Striker David McGoldrick has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for September.

The 25-year-old scored four goals in the month, two against Middlesbrough and another brace in last week’s 2-0 victory over Brighton.

Also nominated are QPR keeper Robert Green, Burnley centre-half Jason Shackell and Reading midfielder Danny Guthrie. The winner will be announced on Friday.

McGoldrick, who signed a two-year permanent deal in the summer following a loan spell last season, previously picked up last December’s League One Player of the Month award for his displays on loan with Coventry

The last Town player to win the award was Connor Wickham in February 2011, while Lee Martin was the most recent nominee in the same month the following year.
