Ban for Sheringham - Ipswich Town News
Tottenham striker Teddy Sheringham has received a three-match ban for the incident which saw him sent off in the game with Town just before Christmas. Sheringham was red-carded for punching John McGreal just after half-time in the game which Town won 2-1.
Sheringham maintains his innocence claiming that he was merely trying to shake off John McGreal who was pulling his shirt.
As a result of his suspension Sheringham will miss the game between Town and Spurs a week on Saturday. His ban starts this weekend.
