Taylor Impresses for Posh - Ipswich Town News
On-loan Town striker Paul Taylor was named the sponsor’s man of the match as Peterborough United beat Preston 2-0 at London Road. The 25-year-old, who is back with Posh until November 2nd, played the first 78 minutes.
Former Town loanee Tyrone Barnett scored the first goal in the ninth minute and Grant McCann added the second on 29.
Taylor was one of the players manager Darren Ferguson singled out for praise: "Jack Payne was excellent again and I would pay to watch Paul Taylor.
"He’s a fantastic footballer and it’s a shame he didn’t score today as he deserved a goal.”
Peterborough are next in action on Tuesday when they take on Brentford in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy at London Road.
