Taylor Plays Full 90 Minutes - Ipswich Town News
On-loan striker Paul Taylor completed his first full 90 minutes for Peterborough as Posh beat Brentford 2-1 in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy at London Road this evening. Taylor was making his third appearance of his loan spell.
The 25-year-old, who is back at his old club until November 2nd, was involved in his side’s first goal. Bees’ keeper David Button saved his shot but the ball struck defender Martin Taylor and ricocheted back over the line.
The Blues frontman, who spent 11 months on the sidelines with a serious foot injury, came close to scoring his first goal of the season with Button making a number of saves and one shot flying narrowly wide. The victory saw Peterborough into the quarter-finals.
