Brooking on Life's a Pitch

Ahead of Tuesday’s England U21 international against Lithuania at Portman Road, FA director of football development Trevor Brooking appears on this Saturday’s Life’s a Pitch, which is live on BBC Radio Suffolk (midday to 2pm). Mark Murphy is joined by legend-in-residence Kevin Beattie, football’s youngest pundit Tractorboy and TWTD’s Phil Ham.

Brooking appeared alongside Beattie for England in the mid-seventies and the two often came face to face while representing the Blues and West Ham, notably in the controversial 1975 FA Cup semi-final.

In addition to Brooking, who watched the Blues’ 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday last week, Polish Town fan Jerzy Plutowicz is also on the show looking ahead to the crucial World Cup qualifier between Poland and England at Wembley, also on Tuesday.

Tickets for the U21s game against Lithuania at Portman Road cost £10 for adults and £5 for concessions and can be bought online from ITFC Direct. A family ticket can be purchased for £20 by calling 0871 964 2116.
