Robson to Unveil Statue - Ipswich Town News
Bobby Robson will unveil his statue at a ceremony at Portman Road in June, date to be decided. The sculpture of the tracksuited former Town boss will be placed at the South Stand end, an area which is currently car park.
As the Portman Village development continues the statue will end up next to a new luxury hotel planned for the Cattlemarket car park.
As yet Robson's name has not been added, as sculptor Coach (Sean Hedges-Quinn to his mum) is waiting to hear whether Robson will receive a knighthood in the Queen's Birthday Honours list. Robson missed out in the New Year's Honours list earlier in the week.
