Mills to Receive Honorary Doctorate - Ipswich Town News
Legendary Blues skipper Mick Mills will receive an honorary doctorate from University Campus Suffolk at a graduation ceremony on Thursday.
The university’s website pays tribute to Town's all-time highest appearance maker and the man who held aloft both the FA and UEFA Cups: "No player has been more influential in the famous blue and white of Ipswich Town than Mick Mills — and not just because his 741 appearances is a club record that is likely to stand for many years and may never be broken.”
Also amongst those receiving honorary doctorates from UCS this year is former Zimbabwean test cricketer Henry Olonga, while Paralympics powerlifting bronze medallist Zoe Newson will be presented with an honorary fellowship.
