Squad for Daggers - Ipswich Town News

Town have name a 21-man squad for the in-danger cup-tie with Dagenham and Redbridge tomorrow. As expected Marcus Stewart is included along with a number of more fringe players like Wayne Brown, Tommy Miller and Ulrich Le Pen.

Squad: Sereni, Branagan, Marshall, Makin, Hreidarsson, Clapham, Bramble, Gaardsøe, Brown, Holland, Magilton, Peralta, Wright, Reuser, T Miller, M Bent, Naylor, Couñago, Le Pen, Stewart and Wilnis.

George Burley says he expects a physical game from the Daggers: "We know that Dagenham are a good side, I spoke to the Charlton assistant manager, Keith Peacock on Tuesday and he confirmed that the Essex side are a class outfit who were unlucky to not progress at the Valley last season.

"As professionals, we know it will be a rough, tough contest, but that is something to be enjoyed. Dagenham are a stronger team than Morecambe, but as with last year, we know that the fans of the home side will be vocal and looking at the game as their cup final."

If Town's game with the Daggers does go ahead tomorrow then it will be one of the main matches on BBC's Match of the Day along with Stoke versus Everton. The game is also a commentary game on Radio Five.

The home side now plan to use blowers to help get the surface playable. Most of the pitch is fine, the problem is down to one stretch in the shadow of a stand.

Should the game take place and end in a draw the replay will take place on January 16th at Portman Road.
