Woking Confirm Marriott Loan - Ipswich Town News
Skrill Premier side Woking have confirmed that Blues striker Jack Marriott has joined them on a month's loan.
Speaking yesterday, manager Mick McCarthy said he hoped the 19-year-old would get matches under his belt while on loan ready to return for the busy festive period: "Like everybody else, we’ve got a really serious Christmas time with games and if he can go out and get a month’s football, playing six or seven games with a really competitive edge to [them that will benefit him].
"The U21s doesn’t always have that competitive edge, so it would serve us well coming into Christmas.”
Marriott, who has made one senior sub appearance for the Blues, is likely to make his Woking debut when they face Dartford at home on Tuesday.
