Taylor and Hyam Doubts - Ipswich Town News
Boss Mick McCarthy has revealed that striker Paul Taylor and midfielder Luke Hyam are both doubts ahead of Saturday’s game at Charlton. Better news is that left-back Aaron Cresswell is back from his suspension.
McCarthy says Taylor suffered the knock in a collision with Marcin Wasilewski after coming on as a sub during last week’s 2-1 defeat.
"Paul Taylor’s got a sore shoulder, he got clattered in the Leicester game and it affected him in the last 10 minutes," he said.
"And Luke Hyam’s got a stiff back. I’m hoping they’ll both be OK, but they didn’t train today.”
Despite impressing his boss, left-back Tyrone Mings will make way for Cresswell, who is available after completing his two-match ban.

Blackburn Rovers 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match AbandonedTown look set to face a return trip to Blackburn Rovers later in the season after this afternoon’s game was abandoned after 80 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch with the home side 1-0 up and with the Blues down to 10 men. Jacob Greaves was shown a straight red card four minutes after the break for hauling down Yuki Ohashi, then Rovers skipper Todd Cantwell netted a penalty on 59, but the heavy rain had made the game increasingly farcical the longer it progressed and in the 80th minute referee Stephen Martin took the players off and then 25 minutes later abandoned it entirely.
