Marriott Loan Extended - Ipswich Town News

Woking have announced that Blues striker Jack Marriott's loan has been extended.

Marriott will remain at the Kingfield Stadium until January 2nd with the Blues able to recall him at 24 hours' notice.

The 19-year-old, who has been offered a new deal by the Blues, has netted four goals in four games for the Cards, who play in the Skrill Premier.

Marriott told the club site: "I’ve loved my time at Woking and I’m learning a lot, so I’m happy to extend the deal.

I’ve played four games and we’ve won three of those and I’ve managed to score four goals too. Things couldn’t have gone much better there.

"I’d like to think that the Woking fans and staff can see that I can be an asset to them and I’ve worked hard to try and prove that.

"Obviously I joined them from a well-respected Championship club, so it was important I started well there and thankfully I scored on my debut.

"I want to make Ipswich look good and I don’t want reports going back to the club that I have shown a bad attitude or anything like that.

"Thankfully I have done well there and been welcomed by everyone. Now I’m happy to extend and the gaffer feels it will be good for me to play competitive football.”
