Town Israeli Link - Ipswich Town News
Town are amongst a number of clubs being linked with Maccabi Haifa defender Arik Benado. The 28-year-old is captain at the Israeli side and has been linked with moves to England before.
According to his agent, Oved Kraus, Town and Burnley are front-runners to sign Benado, who has played for his country more than 50 times: "Arik may be asked to go for a trial week with Burnley but Premiership outfit Ipswich Town have also
expressed their interest."
With David Sheepshanks recently saying that Town's spending is over for the season this may just be an agent trying to drum up interest in his player.
Previously Benado had a trial at West Ham, but it came to nothing.
