Final Game of Marriott's Loan Spell Postponed - Ipswich Town News
Woking's New Year's Day match at Salisbury City, the final game of Blues striker Jack Marriott's current loan spell with the Cards, has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Marriott tweeted: "Gutted that the final game of my loan has been postponed, Woking is a fantastic club and the fans have been brilliant to me!"
Speaking yesterday, Town boss Mick McCarthy says the 19-year-old, who scored nine goals in nine while with the Skrill Premier side, will go back out on loan, either to Woking or ideally to a club at a higher level.
"I’d like him to get a Football League club but if that’s not the case, I’ll be on to Woking, I need to speak to them and he can stay there but we’ll see," he said. "If nothing happens he’ll just extend his loan.”
