Hyam Out to Win Over Detractor Boys - Ipswich Town News

Midfielder Luke Hyam says he’s determined to win over his detractors amongst the Town support. The 22-year-old was jeered by a section of the Blues support during the recent 1-1 draw with Watford.

"Obviously it’s not nice to hear but it’s all part and parcel of being a footballer,” the former Northgate High School pupil told the club site. "I’m a big boy and I can take it.

"I know that not everyone is going to like me. Football is all about opinions. It’s the manager’s opinion that is the main one but at the same time, I’d like to please the fans and win over all the supporters.

"Hopefully I can do that with my performances on the pitch. That’s what I’m aiming to do. We’ve got ourselves into the top six and I want to play my part in keeping that going.”

Meanwhile, Town have released details of ticketing for next Tuesday’s FA Cup third round replay at Preston.
