McCarthy Nominated for Manager of the Month - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Mick McCarthy has been nominated for the December Manager of the Month award, the Blues having won three and drawn three as they climbed into the top six in 2013's final month.
The other nominees are Birmingham boss Lee Clark, Steve McClaren at Derby and Nottingham Forest’s Billy Davies. The winner will be announced on Friday live on Sky Sports News.
McCarthy was previously nominated for the December 2012 award but lost out to Hull City manager Steve Bruce.
The last time a Town boss was named Manager of the Month was back in 2004 when Joe Royle picked up the award for November.
Since then Royle, Jim Magilton, Roy Keane and McCarthy have all been nominated but without winning.
