Blues Much-Changed at Preston - Ipswich Town News

Mick McCarthy has named the expected much-changed side for this evening’s FA Cup third round replay at Preston.

Scott Loach starts in goal, Carlos Edwards at right-back, Tyrone Mings at left-back with Tommy Smith and Christophe Berra at the centre of the defence.

McCarthy looks likely to field a three-man midfield of Luke Hyam, Jay Tabb and Ryan Tunnicliffe and a frontline of Frank Nouble with Paul Anderson on his right and Stephen Hunt on his left.

Academy scholars Byron Lawrence, Kyle Hammond and Matt Clarke on the bench, alongside veteran frontman Alan Lee. Preston make seven changes.

Town: Loach, Edwards, Berra, Smith, Mings, Anderson, Hunt, Tabb, Hyam, Tunnicliffe, Nouble. Subs: Gerken, Hammond, M Clarke, Lawrence, Lee, Taylor, McGoldrick.
