Town's Academy sides had mixed fortunes on their trip to Aston Villa. The U19s won while the U17s lost.

The more senior side won 3-1 with goals coming from Matt Robinson (2) and Steve Burton.

The U17s lost 3-2 with their goals coming from Sam Morrow and Dean Bowditch.

The Academy sides play Wolves next weekend before the FA Youth Cup tie against Coventry at Portman Road on January 21st (KO 7pm).
