Blues Linked With Baird - Ipswich Town News
Town, Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Reading are all reported to have shown interest in Northern Ireland international defender Chris Baird, who is a free agent following a short-term deal with the Royals.
Centre-half or right-back Baird, 31, moved to the Madejski Stadium in September but injuries have restricted him to only nine appearances and he is currently reported to be out of action with a knee problem for several more weeks.
It seems unlikely that the Blues, who want to add to their defensive options during January, would show any serious interest while the former Southampton and Fulham man is sidelined.
Elsewhere, Town continue to be linked with former defender Titus Bramble with Mick McCarthy understood to be considering offering the 32-year-old a short-term contract, as we reported on Friday.
