Town Fan Youngest Ever World Bowls Champion - Ipswich Town News
Town fan Katherine Rednall won the Ladies World Matchplay Singles at the Potters Resort in Hopton this afternoon, becoming the youngest ever winner of the event.
Katherine, who turned 18 earlier this month, thrashed her opponent, holder Rebecca Field from Norwich, in two straight sets (14-4, 11-3) with an outstanding display.
Stowmarket High School pupil Katherine, who hails from Baylham, is a regular visitor to Portman Road when not playing bowls, sitting in the Co-op Stand with her dad John, who has been an England international bowler for more than 25 years.
