Bumper Price for Floriana Programme - Ipswich Town News
A programme from Town’s 1962 European Cup tie away against Maltese side Floriana Valetta made £140 at a Lockdales of Martlesham auction last weekend.
Auction manager James Sadler, a Town season ticket holder along with his wife Carly, said: "These programmes are quite scarce, of course, but we expected it to make around the £50 mark. There was a remarkable interest in it, as the result shows.
"There is such a big demand from collectors for old football programmes and we are getting more and more to sell off for people."
At the same auction, a complete set of Town 1938/39 season programmes — the Blues’ first campaign in the old Third Division South - went for £540.
