U21s Lose Friendly to Colchester - Ipswich Town News
A Town U21 side lost 3-0 to a more experienced Colchester United team in a behind-closed-doors friendly played at Kesgrave High School on Wednesday afternoon.
Jabo Ibehre, Connor Hubble and Dominic Vose scored the goals for the League One club’s senior squad with the U’s fielding different XIs in each half.
The game was played on an Astroturf pitch at the school as the club's nearby Playford Road training ground is waterlogged. Last week all academy matches and an U21 game were postponed due to the sodden pitches.
Today's Town team was made up of first-year pros and academy scholars.
