On-loan full-backs Elliott Hewitt and Freddie Veseli were both on the winning side on Saturday afternoon.
Hewitt was watched by Town scout Ian ‘Taff’ Evans as his loan side Gillingham beat Port Vale 3-2 at the Priestfield Stadium in League One. Veseli’s Bury defeated Wycombe Wanderers 1-0 in League Two.
Yesterday, Hewitt, 19, extended his spell with the Gills until the end of the season, while Veseli, 21, will now remain with the Shakers until February 22nd.
Striker Jack Marriott’s first game back at Skrill Premier Woking against Forest Green Rovers at the Kingfield Stadium was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
