Academy and Suffolk FA Launch Coaches' Association - Ipswich Town News

The Blues and the Suffolk FA are launching a new partnership, the Ipswich Town Academy Coaches Association, which will hold special sessions, seminars and workshops for coaches.

Suffolk FA Football development officer Nathan French said: "I’m delighted that Suffolk FA will be partnering with Ipswich Town on the new coaches’ association.

"The coaches' in-service events will offer grassroots coaches, from Suffolk, the opportunity to see how a professional club operates in terms of its coaching and the set-up of an academy.

"We will be looking to promote the Ipswich Town events, in conjunction with the FA licensed coaches’ events that Suffolk FA currently deliver across the county.

"I would encourage all coaches that are passionate about their personal development, to get along to these sessions.”

The Association is self-funding with all profits going the academy as it bids for category one status from next season.

The new partnership gets underway on Wednesday at Playford Road with those wishing to attend asked to pay a £5 yearly membership fee with a varied scale of charges applying for services provided.

Further details will be provided at Wednesday's session, which begins at 6pm with sports science warm-ups in the dome, followed by viewings of U9/10/11s, goalkeeping and then U15/16s training sessions.

To attend, confirm your place with the Town academy secretary Sally Williams via sally.williams@itfc.co.uk or by calling 01473 662720.
