Stewart Rested - Ipswich Town News
Town boss George Burley has revealed that Marcus Stewart is being rested this evening. Originally the striker was included in the squad facing Charlton at Portman Road (KO 7pm), but Burley feels he needs to be rested.
Burley said: "Marcus is fine but we decided not to play him in the reserves. It is a case of balancing things between getting sharpness and doing too much. Marcus has worked very hard on his fitness but at times rest is just as important."
Stewart's absence means that Bournemouth loan target Darren Bent will start up front with Pablo Couñago.
Squad: Keith Branagan, Mike Salmon, Fabian Wilnis, Gary Croft, Amir Karic, Titus Bramble, Wayne Brown, Thomas Gaardsøe, Darren Ambrose, Tommy Miller, Ulrich Le Pen, Pablo Couñago, Ian Westlake, Darren Bent, Ashley Nicholls, Nabil Abidallah and Matthew Richards.
