Sheepshanks on Cup Match - Ipswich Town News

Town chairman David Sheepshanks has commented on Town's fourth round FA Cup tie with Manchester City being shown live by BBC1. He also has sympathy with supporters unahppy at the irregular scheduling of the game.

Sheepshanks said: "It is a feather in the cap for us to be chosen for the high profile BBC1 slot on Sunday evening and also a considerable financial bonus. However, I do sympathise with supporters over the delay in this tie being finally scheduled and the consequent change of date for both this match and our Premiership game against Fulham, which will now be 24 hours later on Wednesday 30th January. As all supporters will realise it is a case of television calling the tune. As a result of these changes we have given season ticket holders a further 24 hours, until Friday evening, to claim their cup tie tickets."
