Town Fan Cycling to Leicester to Raise Money for Text Ellis - Ipswich Town News

TWTD Message Boarder Stickymockwell is cycling to Leicester for this Saturday’s game to raise money for the Text Ellis campaign. Sticky, real name Tom Watkins, will make the trip over two days.

Back in November, when the Foxes visited Portman Road, Richard Page, who is cycling to every Leicester away game this season to raise money to help his ill son, posted on the TWTD Message Board outlining the details of the Text Ellis campaign. Town fans subsequently raised around £2,800.

Sticky said: "I was really moved by Richard’s determination and drive to help find a cure for his son Ellis who has a rare chromosome disorder and decided that I would like to help add to the total seeing as how amazing everyone on here was when donating at the time of the home fixture.

"If you want to sponsor me can you please go onto https://www.justgiving.com/textellis and put either ITFC, Stickymockwell or Tom in the comments box just so we know how much we've raised.

"I'm biking from Portman Road to Peterborough on Friday (95 miles) and you can see my route here and then from Peterborough to the King Power Stadium (42 miles) on Saturday when fellow TWTD poster Throbbe will accompany me with some support and motivation.

"I've set up a Twitter account as well so I can post my progress through the journey if anyone is interested.”
