TWTD Banners Ready for Portman Road Bow - Ipswich Town News

The two banners designed and paid for by TWTD readers have arrived and are ready to make their Portman Road debuts.

The idea for a banner emerged from TWTD forum discussions last summer with posters voting on ideas before the cash to pay for it was crowd sourced.

When more than £500 was donated, it meant there was enough money for two banners rather than the initially planned one with posters voting on the two final designs, including the identities of the players and managers included.

Gary Schumann led the project, while Dan Edwards was responsible for turning what was essentially a very large committee’s ideas into reality.

Gary and Dan told TWTD: "We just want to say thanks for everyone who chipped in, whatever the amount, and voted for all the various things. They really do look fantastic, even better than we hoped.”

Meanwhile, the club are after further ideas for banners which will also be placed around Portman Road.
