Nouble, Gerken and Tabb Start - Ipswich Town News

Frank Nouble, Dean Gerken and Jay Tabb are all named in Mick McCarthy’s starting line-up as the Blues take on Championship leaders Leicester at the King Power Stadium.

As expected, Nouble is the man replacing injured top scorer David McGoldrick alongside Daryl Murphy up front, while Gerken returns in goal, despite Scott Loach’s impressive display in last week’s 0-0 draw with Blackpool.

Tabb takes over in midfield from Luke Hyam, who is out for a fortnight with the hamstring injury he suffered in the early stages against the Seasiders.

For Leicester, Jeffrey Schlupp replacing the suspended Paul Konchesky at left-back is the only change from the side which started the 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest in midweek.

Leicester: Schmeichel, De Laet, Wasilewski, Morgan (c), Schlupp, Knockaert, James, Drinkwater, Dyer, Nugent, Vardy. Subs: Hammond, King, Moore, Logan, Mahrez, Phillips, Wood.

Town: Gerken, Chambers (c), Berra, Smith, Cresswell, Green, Skuse, Tabb, Hunt, Murphy, Nouble. Subs: Loach, Mings, Richardson, Anderson, Wordsworth, Taylor, Ebanks-Blake.
